About Us

The Bracken Inquirer was established in late 2010 with its first issue published in January 2011 in full colour. The first issue was a 4 page A4 publication on 55 gsm Newsprint with the print run at 2 000 copies (8 000 printed pages).

It is primarily a monthly advertising print publication for local businesses but has also seen fit to publish articles that it felt would be of interest to the general community.

The Bracken Inquirer with its new area editions of the Glenvista Inquirer, Randhart Inquirer, Katlehong Inquirer, Crime Awareness Guide, Industrial Inquirer and Business Directory  has built itself a solid brand image in the Southern Gauteng Residential and Industrial Areas and is recognised everywhere you go.

It is trusted by its loyal advertisers for its top class graphic designs (which are all done free of charge) and most importantly its reliable residential distribution as well as its physical presence via over 20 steel display stands at all major shopping centres and places of interest (petrol station, golf driving range, craft& flea markets, with clients at their shops) where copies can be obtained by passing consumers and those residents of town house complexes that the distribution team can’t always get into.

It has successfully positioned itself between the weekly tabloid community publications which are printed on 48 – 55 gsm newsprint and the high end gloss magazines which are printed on very expensive 115 - 150 gsm gloss papers.

Its smaller editions and lower advertising rates therefore allow clients to focus on smaller specific areas of 10 000 homes or be listed in all the Inquirer editions thus reaching in excess of 30 000 homes each month in the South of Johannesburg at competitive prices and in a full colour format that enhances, displays and presents the clients products and services in the best possible way.
